Atletico Madrid's 2021/22 season is underway. However, the squad is still far from finalised and the club's sporting directive expect the arrival or departure of one or two players this summer.
One of Diego Simeone's main concerns is the possible departure of Kieran Trippier. The England international has a host of firm offers on the table already, the majority of which would take him back to the Premier League.
For that reason, those at the Wanda Metropolitano want to cover their backs in this regard and have already started thinking of possible replacements. After Di Lorenzo renewed his contract with Napoli, that option appears all but ruled out.
However, Atletico Madrid have their eyes on Wolves' Nelson Semedo, according to 'Sport'. Even so, they remain firm on the stance that Trippier will not leave the club, as they have rejected a number of offers, especially that of Manchester United.
